Workflows and Business Rules
LabPlus offers the ability to configure your operating cycles or workflows. By combining LabPlus PlugIns technology, which allows configuration of the business rules with the state machine engine, the notification agent, and the scheduler service, it is possible to define complex operational sequence that reflect the specific workflows of your laboratory. |
Generic Workflows:
LabPlus offers generic workflows for most typical laboratory operations such as sample login, product analysis, result entry by worksheet, and more. |
Specific-Configurable Workflows:
In addition to generic workflows, your laboratory can create new workflows or modify existing ones in order to meet your specific operational needs. |
System Business Rules:
LabPlus has system level predefined business rules which are used to implement system integrity, auditing, and security. In order to preserve the system integrity, these business rules cannot be modified. |
Configurable Business Rules (PlugIns):
New business rules can be added to LabPlus through the use of the PlugIns technology. PlugIns are scripts written in VB.NET, C#.NET or Java that provide a means to alter the system behavior and to implement specific business rules. For instance, you could use PlugIns to define the mask to use to name samples, to automatically assign certain analysis to a department or to automatically notify a supervisor when two consecutive samples are out of specifications. |
