The sample planner manages repetitive sampling for each given combination of sample point, plant area, and product currently produced in the plant area. LabPlus maintains a database of all sampling requirements through a sampling form that is used to configure the type of samples, the analysis to be performed, the sampling precautions, and the sampling frequency. Once the form is approved and activated, the sample planner will automatically log the samples at the defined frequency. Used in combination with the worklist generator, the sample planner causes repetitive samples to be included on worklists, The sample planner can even trigger sample label printing through the process.
Functionality:
By supporting multiple products at a given sample point, the sample planner can meet the needs of multiple products’ units such as batch reactors or block-operated continuous processes.
The sample planner makes it possible to create, copy, edit, activate/deactivate, and delete sampling forms.
The sample planner has an hourly resolution and can track multiple test requirements over 24 hour periods and apply those requirements in a repetitive manner based on any of the following recurrences:
Daily - hourly resolution
Weekly - daily resolution
Monthly and bi-monthly
Annual and semi-annual
The sample planning task is run as a server based service at a frequency defined by the user (daily, by shift, hourly) such that the active sample queue is populated with the optimal number of active samples at any given time.
