LabPlus generic interfaces are designed to simplify the integration of LabPlus with other enterprise systems. There are two interfaces available for LabPlus. LabPlus - PI Interface:
|

This interface transfers data from LabPlus to the PI real-time data historian, making it possible to integrate analysis results from the lab with operational production data from the plant.

Interface Server:
|
|
This interface allows the integration of LimsLink with LabPlus. LimsLink is a easy to configure, generic system for interfacing analytical instruments.

LabPlus - PI Interface:
|
|

|
Functionality
The LabPlus-PI interface runs on the LabPlus server and automatically writes laboratory results to the PI database once they are completed and approved. When the results of a sample are entered, if the sample point and result tag are defined for a PI tag in LabPlus, they are transferred to PI.
When a result is transferred from LabPlus to PI, the sampling time of the sample is used to timestamp the result
The result is formatted using the definition configured in the LabPlus test.
The interface also has a buffer, where laboratory data can be stored temporarily in case the network or the PI server becomes unavailable.
The LabPlus-PI interface requires a PI-API license and uses the TCP/IP protocol to communicate with the PI server.
